I had a great stay at Downshire Haven, the property was bigger than I expected (it was really nice having 2 floors). Great location near the station and the high street. There were plenty of towels, blankets, all the kitchen essentials so self catering was very easy. I was staying in Holywood for a 10 day yoga course and it was perfect for what I needed, thank you!

We wanted to stay in a typical Northern Irish house instead of a hotel and were not disappointed. David is such a great host, who took a lot of time to tell us about the history of the place and surroundings. You can tell he is a successful film director by the attention he gives to detail. Themed decoration, well-equipped kitchen and shiny, comfortable small bathroom. Belfast is the birthplace of the Titanic and this place gives you a feeling for the lives of ordinary craftsmen at the shipyard at the time. So it is a great addition to the main attractions. We received directions and information about all important places (like Lidl - great for us as German visitors and self caterers). The area is not central, but very typical, not far from the port and Titanic museum. It is easy to get to the city centre by bus (direct bus line).
