Everything you could want, Carol and her husband have done an excellent job on renovating the railway carriages, it was pure luxury, very comfortable and an excellent location to explore the Forest of Dean. Very friendly welcome and on hand to answer any queries, this is a true gem of a place and we'll return! Welcome pack a lovely surprise, recommendations of local eateries and places to visit was so helpful. If you like a lovely peaceful retreat with a bit of quirkiness then Hoarthorn Hideaway is the perfect getaway.

Property was spacious and very well equipped, plenty of fresh towels, kitchen essentials etc. Plenty of storage space and drawers. Lots of plug points in handy places. The lodge had a smart tv with Netflix and WiFi was excellent throughout. The lodge was warm and comfortable.

Rooms were great - spacious, clean and comfortable. Bathrooms very clean and well equipped. Great coffee and tea facilities. Nice biscuits. Great to have a fan provided in the room as well as a small heater in addition to the radiators.
