Everything! The place is beautiful and peaceful, near the beautiful abbeys of the Scottish borders. Ros, the owner, is very kind: she offered us the eggs of her hens and gave us plenty of tips. The cottage is wonderful, big and with plenty of facilities, with a big garden. The family has a horse, a sheep, two dogs and a cat and the children really appreciated this. We very extremely happy with our stay!

This is a perfect getaway cottage, with a modern, well-equipped property, attached, but well away from the farm that hosts it. You benefit from the views of the fields and hills (and a few animals), and being close to your hosts, but feel like you could be in the middle of nowhere. Speaking of hosts, they are great too - we had all we could need, and a few extras, for our stay already set out for us before we got there. We said our COVID-friendly hello early on in our stay, and it was clear they were happy to help in any way they could to make the stay as good as possible - not that we needed anything to make that the case!
