The cottage was very cosy and comfortable it had everything we needed for our stay. It was very clean and well organised. The owners were very helpful and were at the end of the phone if needed. The location is very good, two minutes from the canal, several very good pubs most serving food and a Chinese and Indian restaurant within walking distance, Shardlow is on a good bus root and its easy to visit surrounding areas.

I didn't get to the accommodation until late (well, early morning) due to being at a function at another venue. I never met any staff during my stay, as the key for the property was in a key safe on the wall outside. Despite this, communication was excellent and when I did speak to a lady member of staff on the phone (Lorraine, I believe), she was lovely, very friendly and helpful, guiding me through the procedure of payment (via bank transfer, she sent me her bank account and sort code to pay into, very convenient). I found it very convenient to let myself into the property using the key in the key safe on the wall outside, I was sent a code by the staff via text to gain access to it. I liked that the property owner put their trust in the customer to take the key, let themselves in whatever time of the day or night and replace it in the key safe when they leave. The room itself was spacious and very clean, things looked like new. The ensuite was nice and clean with hand wash and clean towels. I think there was a Tv in the room but I can't swear to it as I never used it. The bed was a double, which was nice and comfortable, bonus, as I only expected a single bed. I slept very well. Sorry, I didn't take any photos of the room.
