This is a little gem of a property located in the centre of a beautiful historic village. Bob the host meets you at the cottage and walks you through the features of the property. The cottage was beautifully presented and very well equipped. Because ours was a winter stay the hosts had set the heating earlier in the day and as a result the place was nice and warm for our arrival. Parking to the rear of the cottage is certainly a big advantage as on street parking is at a premium. We loved the bed being used to a firm mattress. The kitchen has everything one needs to prepare and cook meals. There is a small village shop directly across the road for basic shopping. The towns of Newbridge and Bridge of Earn both have a wider range of shops. The city of Perth is only 15 minutes by car (or take the bus - fairly regular during weekdays and Saturday- not as many on Sunday) where there is a full range of services. The village of Abernethy is quiet and safe. Locals are friendly. There are beautiful walks around the area. The local pub does good value meals and service is friendly.

The cottage was in a good location being just outside of Perth, so you could access shops and facilities easily, but you had the advantage of being located in the countryside. We had a warm welcome by the owner of the cottage and shown how to use the hot tub and the amenities. The kitchen was stocked with tea, coffee, etc…and they left us fresh eggs from their chickens. There was a hotel feel with the bathrooms being stocked with shampoo, body wash and in the bedrooms you had towels, bathrobes and slippers. Cottage is all on one level and excellent for anyone with any mobility issues. Definitely on my favourite list for when we return to visit Perth or surrounding area.
