An extraordinary place that we spent with the family for 13 days. Located in a very old house, very well preserved and well maintained. But, there are quite a few similar places in Europe. Two things that make the experience perfect: a heated pool (this time it was less important, when the temperature outside was 42 degrees) and the Lot River which is a few meters from the house. In fact, we found ourselves a perfect place to spend the vacation with the grandchildren (who did not leave the water and walked between the pool and the river) and I have already booked the place for August 2023.

The host, Pierre was very warm and welcoming. The property was clean and functional. The location was good for what we wanted to do.

This was a lovely space, with one very spacious bedroom, bathroom and a kitchen big enough to have a small table. It also had a table with a sun umbrella just outside the kitchen where we could have our meals. The swimming pool is at the back of the house, and very nice, with recliners we could use. It's the family swimming pool, and they were not using it when we were, though were coming out just as we got there. We were not sure whether that was deliberately to leave the pool just for us, not very clear. The hosts were friendly and Daniel could speak English which was very helpful, especially as when we arrived there was a problem with a funny smell. He noticed it himself and said it was not normal. I eventually traced the smell to the back of the fridge and they sorted it out, clearly something a bit unexpected, though it would have been picked up earlier if the house had been aired before our arrival. They gave us a bottle of wine for the disruption which was appreciated. We were there for a wedding in Puy L'Eveque so this was a great location for us and Daniel and Sarah were happy with us coming back very late. It's also very quiet, so can feel very peaceful. Great to lie on the recliners by the pool at night and look at the stars!
