We loved the location, it's set in the woods and you're surrounded by nature. The hosts were fantastic, very friendly and super helpful. We only stayed one night passing through and didn't take food with us and there's nowhere to order food delivery but the host was extremely hospitable and gave us some eggs and bread.

This a lovely and peaceful place in a wonderful setting. Rob and Angie are wonderful hosts and the welcome pack was a really nice touch. The welcome guide which included local restaurants and places to visit was great too and would highly recommend a stay at Maison Belle Vue :)

A beautiful property with amazing grounds. we stayed as part of a family booking. La Charrue was perfect, we were able to all socialise with each other as a family, whilst having the privacy of our own gites to prepare and store food. this was perfect as we have children. The pool is fabulous and big. all together there was 10 over 16’s and 3 children, the pool was more than ample in size. The pool area gets sun all day, I was still sunbathing at 1845hrs 😂😁. There was also inflatables for guest use. Our youngest is 5 years old and can’t swim. the pools shallow end was perfect for him to stand, there was also steps in the shallow end. We all slept amazingly well, even the kids stayed in bed longer than usual. All rooms were spotlessly clean and tidy with all needed facilities and some nice extra touches. The hosts/owners were always on hand to help with directions, translations or food/drink requests. having the bar on the complex is perfect when in need of ice creams for the kids or a nice cold pint of larger for mum and dad. We were fortunate to watch a tribute act whilst staying. for a reasonable price, we had a delicious cooked meal in the restaurant whilst watching a good performance. Everyone was dancing and singing. There are amenities close to the complex, supermarkets within short driving distance in both directions. Also near by is the beautiful town of Brantome. There is an artificial beach next the river here, where the children can paddle and look at the fish. The town is picturesque with lots of places to eat and drink.
