This is a lovely property, the photos don’t do it justice, very clean and the kitchen is very well equipped. Fabulous views. It’s ideally situated for visiting the Bois Jacques Foxholes and the Bastogne War Museum as well as Bastogne itself. The house is actually in Longchamps which formed the most northerly part of the front line during the encirclement of Bastogne in December 1944. This is well explained in the 101st Airborne Museum in the centre of Bastogne. The charming owner met us and showed us how everything worked. Beautiful garden to sit in when the weather is good, we were lucky it was hot. There is a good supermarket in Bertogne which had everything we needed, including excellent fresh meats, cheeses and vegetables, plus wine !!
