The host really made us feel at home and was accommodating in every way imaginable! Water and a snack in the room when we arrived, clear directions on safety and a mosquito net (after hearing dengue horror stories we were glad with this one!). We could leave our luggage during the day as our night bus left late, and he even waited outside with us as we were safe in our Uber and gave us a bottle of water for on the way.

We had the most AMAZING time at Totora Surf School and it was very hard to leave after three weeks! The rooms and property were always clean and organised and the view of the ocean is spectacular. Great value for money. But what made our stay so wonderful were the people! Laura and Diego are wonderful people and the care they put into their business is obvious. They went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and were especially kind and attentive to my dog Colt who would be very happy if we stayed forever! :) Their surf school team are all great people and Colt and I were happy to leave having made a bunch of new friends!

AYPA Hostal ligger i Trujillo, mindre än 1 km från De La Merced Church och 9 minuters promenad från Chan Chan Mud City. Because I had to arrive incredibly early and also leave early in the night, the lady on duty was so kind and offered breakfast that morning when I arrived. She was so kind and helpful in every way from the minute I arrived until I departed. It was a very handy place to stay close to where the Cruz del Sur coaches were leaving from, with links there to Lima, Tumbes, Guayaquil, Chimbote, Chiclayo, etc.

Despite its location on the main business street, it is surprisingly quiet at night. The building itself is also a beautiful historic building from the republican era. The hotel owner is so nice, giving me all local insider’s tips about the city. He also helped me booking a tour around the archeological sites nearby for no commission fees.

La Ola Azul ligger nära stranden i Puerto Chicama och har en terrass och gratis WiFi. Boendet är allergivänligt och ligger 2 kvarter från Playa Puerto Chicama. Location was perfect, close to restaurants and the main entrance down to the beach. Room was cleaned daily, had everything we needed and was very affordable. The women running the hotel were so nice and let us check in early in the day. Highly recommend and would definitely come back!

D´ Barrig ligger i Trujillo, 1,7 km från Mayorazgo de Facalá House, och har en terrass, rökfria rum samt gratis WiFi. Really nice and comfortable. It was spacious and clean. And the staff was really trying his best to help.
