Situated in Takaka in the Tasman region, Labyrinth Gardens Guest House offers accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. What an absolutely amazing place! Our room was so quiet and comfy and the shared toilet and shower was clean and spacious. The kitchen was so well stocked (spices, utensils, pans, etc). This guest house is better than the pictures! The views in and around the house are absolutely breathtaking. I enjoyed having my coffee out on the front deck with an amazing view of the mountains. The owner was eager to help make us comfortable and offer suggestions on what to do in the area :) thank you!!

Situated within 1.5 km of Motueka Saltwater Baths and 47 km of Christ Church Cathedral, Nelson in Motueka, Cabins on Tudor bed & breakfast features accommodation with seating area. Leigh was very welcoming and the room was clean and comfortable. The room had a Victorian feel - lots of linen and lace We really enjoyed the outdoors experience of staying here... kitchen/dining outside, close to a stream etc. Self serve breakfast, cereal, croissants and fruit. Plenty of parking. Close to town and the New World Supermarket for groceries.

Offering free WiFi and set on the bank of a stream, Chalet Karaka offers accommodation 3 minutes' drive from Takaka village in Golden Bay. Chalet Karaka was absolutely delightful - a hidden gem, tucked away in a beautiful, tranquil bushy setting with a small picturesque stream running at the bottom of the garden. The shower was fantastic - excellent pressure with a lovely glass side looking out onto the private garden and stream. The room was spacious and well appointed and the icing on the cake was the generous outdoor undercover living area/deck complete with a Weber for all your barbecue requirements. Ngairie, our host, was friendly, welcoming and very helpful.

Appleby House & Rabbit Island Huts offer two different accommodation types and is located between Richmond and Mapua on the road to the Abel Tasman National Park. The glamping tent was awesome. Secluded spot, away from the rest of the accomodation. The view was amazing! We would definitely stay here again!

Situated in Motueka in the Tasman region with Motueka Saltwater Baths nearby, Cozy Glamping Cabins features accommodation with free private parking. Really cosy room and comfy bed. As the name describes it (glamping), the room is very small but the bed is comfy and the linen was really nice. The description lists the accommodation as a shared bathroom but I had it all to myself (along with kitchenette and laundry) which was certainly nice for this solo traveller! I later learnt that for the moment, the individuals or group who have booked have exclusive use of the bathroom which you’re not sharing it with strangers (there are two other glamping cabins). Everything was immaculately clean. The accommodation is on the edge of town but I liked the location as it’s closer to the coast and a swimming spot. Communication with the owner was fab, she even suggested a few dinner spots which was thoughtful.

Situated in Mapua, 32 km from Christ Church Cathedral, Nelson and 33 km from Trafalgar Park, Private Guest House offers free bikes and air conditioning. This was a very spacious apartment, with views of the lovely garden, right outside the wide windows. We barbecued on the patio, sheltered by the upstairs balcony, a lovely sunny spot for breakfast too. Everything in the place was top quality, with everything you could need for a self catering stay. A very comfortable bed, with super linens and fluffy towels. The laundry facilities were very useful on our long trip away. A pair of bikes to use, made such a difference for us. Very friendly owners too, so thank you for a wonderful stay.
