Located in a quiet oceanfront area on the island of Averøy, this former Bacalao (salt modified and dried cod) factory has been restored into a rustic guesthouse. This place was absolutely amazing! A renovated old sea hut, right on the very edge of the sea. Beautiful barren surroundings & our studio was a gorgeous combination of preserved old rustic style & high quality modern comforts. Great views & atmosphere, great shower (heated floor a huge bonus in the cold weather!), very fresh & clean, & super friendly staff. Strongly recommend it.

Pleasant, cosy, stylishly decorated, immaculately clean, cleverly conceived large room with a beautiful view. Kitchen en bathroom equally pleasant. Our favourite accommodation during our trip in Norway. Far beyond expectations, for a very reasonable fare. It made other accommodations (often more expensive) pale in comparison. Easy communication with the owners. The type of room you wish yourself in every visited place.

Tor is a great host and we spent two very comfortable nights in his apartment. There was everything you could possibly need stored in creative and cozy ways. We enjoyed the music box while cooking and after a short time got used to the gas stove. We had a really nice time and enjoyed our stay and when we come back to Ålesund we will definitely stay here again!

HammerStuene er staðsett í Surnadal á Møre og Romsdal-svæðinu og býður upp á verönd og útsýni yfir kyrrláta götuna. Það er bar á gistihúsinu. We were given a warm welcome, probably one of the friendliest places we've stayed. The food was probably the best we'd had on our road trip so far. The location was ideal for us. There was an outdoor area for socialising as well as the indoor area, very well laid out and tastefully decorated. We had a room roadside but it wasn't a problem as it was quiet.

This is the place where you have to go if you wish to drive the real Atlantic Road. The road up to the hotel is one of the most fantastic in Norway. The staff is helpful and kind. The properties are in a pure and beautiful Scandinavian design. Don’t miss it !
