The host, Linda, was very helpful and excellent at communicating as we arrived very late but she waited for us and let us in. The room was lovely and very clean and comfy bed. Can’t fault it. Also excellent location and very good value for money. Would recommend to anyone.

I came for the nearness of Hoghe Veluwe, which is probably the Netherlands most beautiful national park. However, the immediate surroundings were the most amazing, as well. Altogether, a beautiful place for creative work and leisure which is exactly what I came for. The hostess is very nice and accomodating and the rooms extremely comfy.

Guesthouse de Hoogkamp er staðsett í Arnhem, 3,3 km frá Arnhem-lestarstöðinni, 5,1 km frá Huize Hartenstein og 6 km frá Gelredome. The owner lady was so kind and welcoming. Simply it had value for money.

B&B Veluwemeerpension er staðsett í Nunspeet, 30 km frá Apenheul og 30 km frá Dinoland Zwolle. Boðið er upp á garð- og vatnaútsýni. Gististaðurinn er með sameiginlegt eldhús og arinn utandyra. It is located in a calm rural area and very close to lake, in the middle of nature. The decoration of house was very interesting. The owner was perfect, calm and very patient. A perfect friendly behaviour along with hospitality. The owner is very generous and as I should leave the house very early in the morning, he provided a huge breakfest and lunch package for me in advance. Strongly recommended.

We were there for the Operation Market Garden commemorations and the property is located just a fifteen minute walk from the drop zone, where, indeed, I parachuted on one of the commemoration days. And if you are into that part of history, then you are within easy reach by car of all the British sites from the battle: the Airborne Museum at the Hartenstein in Oosterbeek, the Airborne Cemetery, alsoin Oosterbeek, Arnhem Bridge, the St Elisabeth's Hospital, the Old Church in Oosterbeek, and many other sites. The village of Heelsum is delightful: clean, quiet, well-kept. There is a supermarket just a few minutes walk from the property, also a place where you can rent bikes. The property itself is comfortable, clean and well equipped, with a strong "at-home" feel to it. You can sit outside on the small porch and enjoy a meal there, and even though it is close to the main house where the hosts live, you have all the privacy you need. As for the hosts: I have stayed at many B&B-type properties in the Netherlands and France, and Betty and Sjaak are the kindest, most considerate, and helpful hosts you could hope to have. We are definitely going back. What a wonderful trip we had!
