Set in Fès, in a historic building, 2 km from Royal Palace Fes, Medina social club is a guest house with a bar and shared lounge. Who doesn’t want to be social in a colorful and lush riad in the medina? A breezy rooftop to have a tea, play cards with other travellers and watch the sunset, a library, one of the best and reasonably priced dinners we’ve had the the entire trip, in candle-light, next to the palms and the calming sounds from the fountain. Professional with a heart, chill vibes and lovely staff made our last day and night in a three bedroom in Fez great. Located just an alley away from one of the main drags Talaa Kebira with shop till you drop- everything, sister restaurant Fondouk Bazaar (don’t miss the green shakshuka), Hammam Mernissi & spa, near Bab Boujloud, the blue gate, an ATM, the public gardens Jardin Jnan Sbil and a rather brutal food market. Porterservice and taxi in the wee hours went smooth as silk, and Fez airport itself is actually really pretty. We will be back, inshallah!

Located in Fès, 1.6 km from Royal Palace Fes, Riad Tarab Fes provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and a tour desk. Everything was amazing, so beautiful. Had to leave early in the morning and they provided a sack breakfast for us. Perfect.

Situated within 3.4 km of Royal Palace Fes and 1.3 km of Batha Square, Riad Fes Elite features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Fès. Yes, it’s that good. Being new to Fes and needing to find our feet, Abdul was the perfect person to assist us to do it. After meeting us at the Bab Rcif we were welcomed with a cup of mint tea and local pastries while he helped us to familiarise ourselves with the area. For those interested in day trips to Chefchaouen and Meknes, Volubilis and Moulay Idriss etc Abdul has the goods. He provided us with a very detailed walking map of the medina area and useful information about the must-visits. The location of the riad was fantastic; easy to find, strategic for visiting the medina as well as being a petit taxi pick-up point. The riad seems to have undergone recent renovation as everything looks new and fresh. The placement of every feature in the bedroom and bathroom: furniture, fixtures and fittings seemed to have been considered for maximum efficiency in mind. What impressed me most was that there is no sign of the stench that seems to pervade the bathrooms of old makeover buildings. I also didn’t have to struggle with maintaining a fixed temperature while having a shower unlike the case in some other riads! Meanwhile my partner loves that he can easily access 5G internet. The complimentary breakfast was no ho hum affair either. It was delicious and abundant and the menu was changed daily. Abdul’s mother and sister Fatima are good cooks and you can ask them to prepare lunch or dinner for you. We absolutely love Fatima’s lamb couscous. Frankly for the price we paid we certainly did not anticipate this level and quality of service! It was a real steal! Thank you Abdul for being so accommodating and helpful. Thank you for the tips about taking petit taxis like a local and Fatimah for taking in and folding our clothes. We are indeed blessed to have stayed 3 nights here. Hands down this is our favourite accommodation during our 17D trip around the country!

A recently renovated property, Riad Dar Kassim is located in Fès near Karaouiyne, Bab Bou Jeloud Fes and Medersa Bouanania. This Riad was stunning! Every corner of this place is good for the eye. Location was also near the Tannery, but if you wanna go to the Medina, you have to take taxi that will take around 5mins.

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Dar Kenz Fes offers accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. The room was very spacious and clean. Hana was incredibly kind and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

Located in Ifrane, within 7.6 km of Aoua Lake and 10 km of Ifrane Lake, Motel Ain Mersa provides accommodation with a terrace as well as free private parking for guests who drive. The owner was super nice and made sure we were comfortable and felt at home. The facilities were better than I expected! The beds were comfortable and the electric blankets were great for the cold night. We had both dinner and breakfast and both were delicious. Recommend, would stay again.
