Where do I even begin… Anathan’s place was an oasis, a safe haven for me after I spent a few days in the hectic and chaotic Colombo. From the very first moment that I arrived to the very last minute that I left, I always felt taken care of, spoiled almost, and above everything, I felt at home. In fact, Anathan’s place was so comfortable, so peaceful that it felt almost difficult to get out and explore the town. Obviously a home isn’t a home without its host. And for that, I have to thank Ananthan for going above and beyond to provide me with a comfortable stay. He always made sure that I had enough for breakfast, always asked if I wanted more tea and coffee (and yes, please), and even brought me along to the ceremonies at the Nallur temple where his family and friends were also there, welcoming me with unparalleled warmth and hospitality. Even though I was a solo traveller, I had never felt lonely during the entire stay. Ananthan was always there should I need anything. It brought me great joy and peace just to sit by the patio and listen to the singing of the birds and the rustling of the trees. I was sad that I could not stay longer. And I’d return, time and again.

They even arranged day trips to the islands and north coast for us 10/10 hardly does them justice

Still in a quiet neighborhood. Cleanest new building with a cool breeze from the trees around. More than enough personnel for security, maintenance etc. I rented a small single room, but there are bigger a/c rooms with plenty of common space to accommodate groups.
