Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Jinrae Lee's Traditional House offers accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. Staying here was such a highlight - my favourite place we stayed on our trip to Korea. A beautiful historic house that was still comfortable and warm. Bathrooms are in a different building but that wasn't an issue as it wasn't raining and they are nice and modern. The host was lovely and prepared a small breakfast tray, and the room comes with tea and coffee facilities and a fridge. If you have mobility issues, sitting on the floor and climbing into the rooms/ bathroom might be a bit difficult as the doors are essentially the size of a large window, but we found it part of the experience. I hope to stay here again one day!

Extremely comfortable beds, a high pressure shower with piping hot water, quiet at night and free eggs and toast to make yourself breakfast in the morning? What else do you really need?

Suncheon Bay Healing Pension is set in Suncheon, 4.3 km from Suncheonman Bay National Garden, 7.2 km from Suncheon Station, as well as 11 km from Booyoung Country Club. The location was great - bus stop very close by and a short walk to Suncheon Bay. The owner was very kind, and the room was spacious and clean. The heated floor (ondol) was a very welcome surprise and the pension was very quiet. Altogether we had a great night's sleep and would come back again!!

Cheukhu-dong 19street Guesthouse, a property with a terrace, is set in Mokpo, 5.8 km from Pyeonghwa Peace Square, 34 km from Wolchulsan National Park, as well as 44 km from Naju Station. Very clean, very nice rooms and great design and care of details

Featuring a terrace and views of mountain, Leehakjang guesthouse is a guest house situated in a historic building in Mokpo, 1.2 km from Mokpo Station. Located right next to the ferry. Great place to stay over night and head out in the morning. Super nice hosts. Literally ran with me to the terminal to ensure I caught the boat. Will stay again when I'm passthrough Mokpo.

Situated in Gwangyang, 21 km from Booyoung Country Club and 21 km from Suncheon Station, Mirinae Hanok Tradiational House offers a garden and air conditioning.

Located in Mokpo, 700 metres from Mokpo Station, Geonmaek Stay provides accommodation with a garden, free WiFi and full-day security. Geonmak Stay is awesome - so glad I stayed there. It's a really short walk to the Mokpo Station - I took the KTX from Seoul, arrived at night, and it was quick and easy to walk there. It's an interesting place, different in some ways from anywhere I've stayed, but different in a way that I really liked. The room was very clean, bed was very comfortable. You check in at the Pub downstairs, and the English instructions they gave me were pretty clear - everything worked. The bathroom IS the shower - don't aim the shower head at the trash can or toilet paper roll, though. The bidet seat buttons were all labelled in Korean, but I figured them out pretty quickly, since I have a Toto Washlet at home, anyway. The people at the pub are great. Their English is not great, but being young, they quickly pulled out translators on their phones which helped a lot. There is a refrigerator and microwave (again, knob labels in Korean) in the small kitchen on the second floor. The neighborhood is not so upscale, but felt very safe and walking around (it's only about 100 yards from the harbor quay) was great - you can get fresh fruits and vegetables their easily. There are some cool bakeries and coffee shops nearby, in addition to plenty of mini-marts. In summary, I had a great experience - be sure to go down to the Pub often!!

Located within 3.8 km of Tea Museum of Korea and 21 km of Boseong Bibong Dinosaur Park, Golmangtae Pension provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Boseong. The property is gorgeous and the host is more than accommodating. I didn’t have any food so he provided me with both dinner and breakfast. He also drove to me to tea fields and made sure I knew how to catch the bus back to Gwangju. Amazing hospitality!

Situated 1 km from Juknokwon Bamboo Garden and 1.3 km from Gwanbangjerim, JNW MINBAK in Damyang features air-conditioned accommodation with views of the garden and free WiFi. the property was fairly easy to find. When we arrived, we knocked on the door and was greeted by the old lady. The lady did not speak English but fortunately, my sister is somewhat able to hold a conversation, thus check in was fairly simple and straightforward. The lady showed us how to use the AC, tv etc. all toiletries, blankets,pillows, futons etc. were provided also. Moreover, the rooms were immaculate and felt very comfortable and homely. The lady gave us a Damyang info leaflet also which was very helpful. We felt very welcomed and even received apples individually packed in the morning. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would come back again next time if we ever go back to Damyang.
