She even made us breakfast that we turned into out own EkiBen; I'd been missing fresh fruit on our trip and we had a piece of everything. Thank you Mariko san!

Elizabeth and Satoshi were incredibly hospitable and went out of their way to make us comfortable. This included giving lifts to us into town and train station, which we really appreciated. The breakfasts and dinner were delicious, we would 100% recommend eating here. The inn is in the woods, so views are great. The room was large and comfortable. A large bottle of water was provided every night. There are a choice of onsens on site which we took advantage of and were great. The common area was comfortable and we had great conversations with Elizabeth in there. Elizabeth and Satoshi are the highlight of this stay. Please don't hesitate to book your stay here!

Providing lake views and a garden, Chuzenji Pension offers accommodation in a prime location in Nikko, within a short distance of Kegon Falls, Chuzenji Lake and Chuzenji Temple. Lovely staff. A decent course meal. Just when you want a break from asian dishes, but still wants to enjoy other cultures. Nice sleep. Quiet place, comfortable beds and the hot springs sure helps.

Located in Nikko, 2.1 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine, Sanga Nikko provides rooms with free WiFi access. The property is set 10 km from Kegon Falls and 22 km from Nikkō-kokuritsu-kōen. I really had a fantastic time staying at Sanga Niko. The room was cosy and the bed was very comfortable. The room wasn't huge but if I needed more space I could always go to the shared living room & kitchen area which was spacious and had a lovely vibe to it. It has been a while since I stayed in an accomodation with a shared bathroom but I shouldn't have worried - everything was always exceptionally clean. I also appreciated that there was a washer and dryer that I could use. I met a couple of the other guests who were staying at the accomodation but never heard any noise from the other rooms. The owner, Yoshi, is a wonderful host and really helped me make the best out of my time in Nikko. Overall, it's a great choice for travelers who are looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place in Nikko. I highly recommend it.

Featuring a garden, Midorian is located within Nikko National Park. The property is around 1.5 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine, 8 km from Kegon Falls and a 16-minute walk from Futarasan Shrine. The Midorian had this unquantifiable fairy-tale quality to itself. Nestled in the heart of the mountains, surrounded by a cool river, under the care of a noble man.

Lovely, very traditional and comfortable place to stay in Nikko. Near to many of the main temples and a lot of space for a very reasonable price. The owner was also very kind, allowing us to check in a little early and booking our taxi back to the train station upon leaving.

Set in Nikko, the recently renovated COZY Inn Free Shuttle service offers accommodation 12 km from Tobu Nikko Station and 14 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine. What a beautiful, traditional Japanese home with the most wonderful host, Hiro-san. He was so communicative before and during our stay, so accommodating with a great sense of humour. He went out of his way to take us to and from the stations, to dinner, etc. Special shoutout to Hiro-san’s gorgeous and gentle doggy companion, Marie-chan. And oh my gosh, the lovely bath prepared for us every evening!! If we are ever in the area, we will go out our way to stay here again. Thank you Hiro-san.
