六根ゲストハウス Rokkon guest house features accommodation located less than 1 km from the centre of Kyoto and offers a garden and a terrace. This stay was one of our favourites of our entire trip. The host was so generous and kind. Upon hearing of my partner's leg injury, she surprised us with a special tea to help promote healing. We loved the space and the attention to detail was fantastic. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. The host customized the breakfast based on a couple conversations we had. Everything was delicious, and we were even given a detailed list, in English, of everything she prepared for us. The breakfasts at this stay were a highlight of our entire trip to Japan. We will definitely try to stay here again when we're back in Kyoto!

Located in Kyoto and within 500 metres of Sanjusangen-do Temple, Kyo-Anthu Inn features a garden, soundproof rooms, and free WiFi. We had a wonderful stay. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, giving us useful advice on how to move around the town. Emiko speaks very good English. The hotel room looks just like in the photos posted on their website, and everything is very clean. The breakfast was fresh and slightly different each morning. The hotel is also well placed, just a few minutes walking from the bus station and the Keihan train Line (which reaches many touristic objectives in the city and up to Osaka).

Ideally located in the centre of Kyoto, Kokonoe Machiya offers air-conditioned rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a shared lounge. A perfect place for a Kyoto visit if you don't want to be around the tourist masses. The place is newly renovated and just thought out well, longest sleeps I had in Amy of my accommodations so far. The host (Tony) is a really nice guy with a lot of knowledge about the area and loves to talk and give recommendations.

Family Inn Kei 慶 features accommodation within 3.2 km of the centre of Kyoto, with free WiFi, and a kitchenette with an oven, a microwave and a toaster. The service was excellent. The owner was incredibly kind! We wanted to send some luggage to our next accommodation and and helped us by driving to office of the company which sends luggage, which was 20 minutes away by car, so she drove 40 minutes just for us!!! Also, the beds were nice, there was a small balcony and a little stove, as well as a washing machine.

Set in Kyoto, less than 1 km from Gion Shijo Station and 1.5 km from the centre, Woman Only Guesthouse Nanohana (Female only) offers air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and a shared lounge. I like how welcomed I felt. I got there early and since my room wasn't ready they let me leave my luggage and walk around Kyoto. It was such a nice and clean room. It was in a very centric area Will stay here again

Attractively located in the Shimogyo Ward district of Kyoto, Hachi Inn is situated less than 1 km from Kyoto Station, a 15-minute walk from Sanjusangen-do Temple and 1.4 km from Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan... 10 minute walk from the station. Our room on the 5th floor had beds rather than futons on the floor. There was a microwave and kettle in the room which was clean. The staff spoke reasonable english and were helpful.

Featuring 3-star accommodation, Kyono Mori Yurinsha is set in Kyoto, 1.7 km from Sanjusangen-do Temple and 1 km from Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall. Lovely home style breakfast. Very kindness staff lady.

Machiya Hotel YANAGI features accommodation within 1.6 km of the centre of Kyoto, with free WiFi, and a kitchenette with a microwave, a fridge and a stovetop. The house is a contemporary renovated town house, it is actually more spacious than the pictures shown and the lighter is much softer and warmth, there is a small backyard with a tiny pond in the middle, the 2nd floor have some interested hollow floor design with a foot bridge connecting the bedroom so you can see the first floor from the 2nd floor, the art collection such as some wall painting and slide door as well as the teapot collection is quite classy as well

Offering air-conditioned rooms in the Shimogyo Ward district of Kyoto, situated between Kamogawa River and Takase canal, Hazuki Kyoto is 20 minutes stroll from Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Gion District. The house has been renovated with great taste in a Japanese traditional style. The private onsen is absolutely lovely and we had a fantastic stay.
