This stay was one of our favourites of our entire trip. The host was so generous and kind. Upon hearing of my partner's leg injury, she surprised us with a special tea to help promote healing. We loved the space and the attention to detail was fantastic. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. The host customized the breakfast based on a couple conversations we had. Everything was delicious, and we were even given a detailed list, in English, of everything she prepared for us. The breakfasts at this stay were a highlight of our entire trip to Japan. We will definitely try to stay here again when we're back in Kyoto!

Emiko and her family had great English and the inn was very welcoming and comfortable. I was even driven to Kyoto station once my stay was complete which was a great help. Excellent value for money and a ideal location to see many nearby temples and shrines. Lots of nature sightseeing opportunities close by as well. I highly recommend a stay at Kyo-Anthu Inn!

At the inn, the rooms are fitted with a wardrobe. Every room is equipped with a safety deposit box and some rooms also feature city views. At Kokonoe Machiya the rooms are equipped with bed linen and towels. The hostel owner was the best. He give a lot of tips and recommendations. The bed in the dorms was comfortable and the lockers was very big. It's near many bus stations.

Room are cozy and spacious for Japanese standards, position of the place is nearby subway station and near 7-eleven. Mattress of the bed was nice and firm, wifi, hot water reliable, and the whole place for spotless clean. I wish the owners only the best customers!

The house is a contemporary renovated town house, it is actually more spacious than the pictures shown and the lighter is much softer and warmth, there is a small backyard with a tiny pond in the middle, the 2nd floor have some interested hollow floor design with a foot bridge connecting the bedroom so you can see the first floor from the 2nd floor, the art collection such as some wall painting and slide door as well as the teapot collection is quite classy as well
