The place is basic, bed and rudimentary bathroom, but the location, the host and the activities made our days here the best part of our trip!! And his wife makes delicious meals too :) I have no words to describe everything we experienced here but I will try… If you can’t travel with the local boat, for an extra price, Jeki (the host and guide) can come pick you up and drop you off. Also for an extra, he will take you on an amazing day of activities. Worth it!!! We started by going to Padar Island which had tourists but was beautiful. The rest of the trip we were alone. Jeki spotted manta fish and we swan with 17 of them!! Pink beach and Makassar point also stunning and had them all for ourselves. Finally we went to look for komodos. We say eight of them right behind the village! Since we had time we also walked around the village and got to meet families and play football with the boys. We would have stayed for days!!

Also, good breakfast with banana pancake and fruit. The owner helped me a lot by arranging the boat tour and drive to Bajawa. I was also able to rent his scooter. There is the cutest dog and chickens walking around. Just lovely !

Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Lovely welcome from Nas & his wife. Their homestay is in the middle of Riung and is new, modern & clean. The room is small but adequate with a private (cold) shower & toilet (no sink but it was ok). The bed & pillows are new and very comfortable. Very quiet aircon. Breakfast was delicious with banana pancakes, fresh pineapple & dragon fruit & good coffee. Highly recommended for a stay in Riung.

Staff really helpful - organised trip to Kelimutu within a few seconds, and sorted a bus to the next destination, making phone calls when it was late etc. to make sure we got on. Fab breakfast with fresh fruit and a choice of eggs or (excellent) banana pancake. Shower was properly hot which was amazing.
