Riung is remote! And this place is one of our favourite guesthouses in Flores. The owner is a sweet man, the rooms are stellar, he even has internet. Once you get to Riung you’ll get why this place is an improbable gem.

Escape Bajo, en Labuan Bajo, ofrece alojamiento solo para adultos con terraza, restaurante y bar. El alojamiento, construido en 2017, está a 5 min a pie de Playa de Wae Rana y a 3 km de Playa de Pede.... Estuve una noche antes de mi viaje por Komodo Islands y estuvo muy bien. Está situado cerca del puerto y del fish market. Las habitación compartida estaba limpia y las taquillas eran grandes. El baño estaba bien, aunque hubiera estado mejor tener dos lavabos. Se queda un poco justo para ser un hostel. De todas formas para pasar un par de días es suficiente. La cafetería tiene muy buenas vistas y se puede trabajar sin problema. Un sitio tranquilo y con buena ubicación.

ORA KOMODO HOME STAY está en Komodo, a 1,9 km de Pink Beach, y dispone de alojamiento con salón de uso común, parking privado gratis, terraza y zona de barbacoa. Wow! I wish I could give this more stars!! We had a fantastic time with Jackie and his family staying on the Komodo Island 🤩 We would really recommend this for anyone wanting to see the island at a more leisurely pace. The room was lovely - there was a fan, a comfy bed and it was right on the water front of the village. Jackie and his wife were wonderful hosts and within the price you get 3 delicious meals a day! Jackie also organised for us to take a local boat with a local captain to see Manta Point/Pandar/pink beach - he's a local ranger so he took us around Komodo Nation Park (and even his own village) where we saw loads of Komodo dragons. We loved his stories and he spoke excellent English! It was the best experience we had in Indonesia so far ❤️ Some tips that we learnt: There is a public boat but it only leaves on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. It's from the fish market on Labuan Badjo (if you go there the locals are really helpful). We paid 100k each. It leaves at 11am but we arrived at 9am - there are no seats so be ready to sit on the floor. It's a busy boat so we were squished like sardines. The boat takes around 4 hours and is loud but there was a toilet onboard. The return boat leaves on Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday back to Labuan Badjo. If this isn't something you're interested in, speak to Jackie as he'll arrange collection and drop off with you for a reasonable price (and it can work around your schedule). It's totally worth staying on the island - the views are amazing! Best sunset we've seen! You also see waaayy more dragons near the village than at the National Park (and there aren't many people) The boat Jackie organised for us was 2 million for the whole day! The captain knew exactly where to find the Manta rays and even came swimming with us. It was lovely to see the sights on our times so would highly recommend this :) we did the national park on the same day to only purchase the ticket once!

RIUNG LALONG TERONG Guest House está frente a la playa en Riung y tiene jardín y terraza. It was all very clean, new, airconditioning! and the owners are so sweet!! Also, good breakfast with banana pancake and fruit. The owner helped me a lot by arranging the boat tour and drive to Bajawa. I was also able to rent his scooter. There is the cutest dog and chickens walking around. Just lovely !

Riung Tiga Empat Tujuh Guesthouse está en Riung, en la región de Nusa Tenggara Oriental, y ofrece alojamiento con parking privado gratis. El bed and breakfast dispone de terraza. We absolutely loved our stay with Nas and his family. The rooms are new and very clean. But most importantly the family was so nice and took such good care of us. We had a great time chatting and chilling with the family and the other guests at the guesthouse. Nas also organised a 17 islands boat tour with captain Alex, which was a fantastic day. Another highlight was the home-cooked dinner. Sampai jumpa!

FARILA LODGE, en Ende, tiene terraza y bar. Hay parking privado gratis y el alojamiento dispone de servicio de traslado de pago para ir o volver del aeropuerto. The room is really clean (even by Western standards), the shower has hot water (if you use it sensibly there is plenty for everyone) and the breakfast is good. The manager speaks English and is a great local guide. Peter and his lovely family will make you feel at home. Very convenient location as a base for Kelimutu park.

SHILA GUEST HOUSE dispone de jardín y terraza en Kelimutu. Este alojamiento, que cuenta con servicio de habitaciones, también ofrece zona de juegos infantil. Perfect location, comfortable beds and good shower, The room has all you need. The breakfast was really nice with pancakes and fruits. And last but not least, Yohannes and his wife are super friendly! They want you to feel at home. Besides that he arranges transport to Kelimutu, but also he arranged that the public bus to Bajawa kept 4 seats free for us! That was great🤩

ANDY'S LODGE KELIMUTU, en Kelimutu, ofrece alojamiento con jardín y terraza. En el hostal o pensión, las habitaciones disponen de balcón. Staff really helpful - organised trip to Kelimutu within a few seconds, and sorted a bus to the next destination, making phone calls when it was late etc. to make sure we got on. Fab breakfast with fresh fruit and a choice of eggs or (excellent) banana pancake. Shower was properly hot which was amazing.
