Situated in Twatt and only 13 km from Ring of Brogdar, Runa Guest House features accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. I enjoyed my stay at the Runa Guest house very much. The owner is a knowledgeable tour guide on the Island, so he could answer any questions and had lots of excellent suggestions that enhanced my visit. The suite was clean and comfortable. The little kitchen was stocked with breakfast items. There is even a washing machine and dryer available for use. I highly recommend.

Clean and spacious rooms, amazing home-cooked breakfast, quiet area and a short walk from town, and the most important thing was Stacey, the owner - friendly as can be, helped us with some issues we had in our trip, was lovely and made us feel home away for home - everything you want while traveling!

Karrawa Guest House is set in the town of Kirkwall, less than 1 mile from the town centre and within 2.5 miles of the airport and ferry terminal. Karrawa is a lovely home with a very comfortable guest room and an exquisitely appointed en-suite. Everything was so clean and Fyona was quite friendly snd welcoming. Our cooked breakfast was delicious. I wish we had been able to spend more time there.

Royal Oak Guesthouse, a property with a shared lounge, is situated in Orkney, 2.2 km from Scapa Beach, 17 km from Maeshowe, as well as 19 km from Standing Stones of Stenness. The location was good. The food was excellent. The rooms were comfortable. There was a lounge with games, sofas, and a large TV, but we were too busy to take advantage of it. Eric, the host, was very friendly and accommodating. He got us everything we asked for. The water was very soft, so only a small amount of soap or shampoo was needed. It didn't feel like we were intruding in someone's home. It felt more like a mini hotel with a fair amount of privacy for coming and going. Also, we had a ground floor room where we didn't have to drag suitcases up, which is hard being older adults. The stay was very enjoyable.

Our room was immaculate, parking was very convenient, tea and snacks the best, breakfast for the first time we could select the night before off a menu and was delicious!

Boasting a private beach area and views of sea, Waterfront House is a guest house set in a historic building in Finstown, 5.7 km from Maeshowe. location is great and central with a vehicle

Sanderlay Guest House, a property with a garden and a shared lounge, is set in Kirkwall, 17 km from Maeshowe, 19 km from Standing Stones of Stenness, as well as 20 km from Ring of Brogdar. This a nice place, clean and organized. Big room and clean. Everything that is necessary is inside the room. The breakfast is fresh and good. We come back again there on the 19th of August.

The Ferry Inn offers 30 rooms spread across four buildings in Stromness, and is located 6 miles from the UNESCO Neolithic Heart of Orkney. Staff were so helpful around bookings and the bed was amazing!!!

Located in Saint Margarets Hope, 40 km from Maeshowe, Murray Arms Hotel and Seafood Restaurant, Orkney provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. I loved the hotel, my room, the location, and the manager, Suzanne, and her staff. The hotel was minutes away from the ferry to Gills Bay and yet so quiet and peaceful at night. I was sad to leave.
