The host was amazing, took it to a whole new level by taking care and providing vegan options for breakfast for us. The kitchen facilities were even better than most home kitchens and the location, five minute away from the Brought of Birsay (puffins!), is ideal!

This guest house features free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The guest house has family rooms. The location was good. The food was excellent. The rooms were comfortable. There was a lounge with games, sofas, and a large TV, but we were too busy to take advantage of it. Eric, the host, was very friendly and accommodating. He got us everything we asked for. The water was very soft, so only a small amount of soap or shampoo was needed. It didn't feel like we were intruding in someone's home. It felt more like a mini hotel with a fair amount of privacy for coming and going. Also, we had a ground floor room where we didn't have to drag suitcases up, which is hard being older adults. The stay was very enjoyable.

The guest house features some units with quiet street views, and every unit is fitted with a kettle. I liked so much about my stay here. The location is walkable from the transit station and the town center, but if you have bags, it's a reasonable taxi ride. The room was extremely comfortable, and came complete with kettle, tea, coffee and assortment of biscuits; the bath had a local soaps (which were delightful). The breakfast was a great way to start out the day, delicious and filling, and with a lot of options. I recommend the salmon omelet.

Nothing was too much trouble for the helpful and friendly staff. Food in the restaurant in the evening was excellent. Very easy to get about as the bus stop is a stone's throw away
