Situated 23 km from Lincoln University, The Lord Nelson Inn offers 4-star accommodation in Newark upon Trent and has a garden, a restaurant and a bar. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left there was a warm inviting atmosphere. The owners and staff were lovely.. The room was well decorated and spotlessly clean. We had all the facilities we required. The bed was comfortable which added to having a good night's sleep. We eat there on both nights as the food was of such good quality and staff were very efficient and friendly.

Loved the decor - many antiques and gallery style art everywhere. The room was uber comfortable too and quiet. The owners were so accommodating - even offered to do our laundry and to make us dinner! Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, The Gardens Room is located in Upton, 26 km from National Ice Centre and 26 km from Trent Bridge Cricket Ground. Very welcoming and friendly hosts, who couldn't do enough for you. The place was very well fitted out to a high standard. They had thought of everything, including providing a wide range of hot drinks for you to make with the facilities provided, which included a Nespresso machine. The decor, carpets and curtains looked brand new and were lovely. The bathroom was perfect and there were toiletries provided. The breakfast was very generous and delicious, and included plenty of fresh fruit. The bed was very comfortable and the bed linen was good.
