At the guest house, each unit is equipped with bed linen and towels. We rented a family room. It was really spacious, decorated with care and perfectly clean. The beds were really confortable and the sheets especially soft! For breakfast we purchased some pastries from the bakery nearby and ate in the little garden with coffee from the kitchen, a perfect start of the day!

Particularly appreciated the guest fridge and washing-up facilities as we were travelling with picnic things. Also communal tea and coffee-making facilities, though we didn’t use those. Nice breakfast - not exceptional - but everything we needed.

Beds are very comfortable and large bathrooms. Added bonus was the guest kitchen complete with popcorn maker! Lovely guest lounge and we were lucky enough to have breakfast on the terrace. The hosts were lovely and so helpful!! Highly recommend and we will be back!

You can play table tennis at the guest house. In addition to a seasonal outdoor pool, Chambres d'hôtes L'Escale Charmante also features outdoor play equipment. Very nice and helpfull people. We enjoyed during our 7 day stay a lovely breakfast and the room and location of the b&b were perfect

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Sur La Route Des Châteaux is a recently renovated guest house situated in Thenay, 16 km from Chateau de Chaumont sur Loire. Featuring luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. We had a lovely stay at the property, the owners are super kind and ready to help with whatever you need! The room was extremely clean, the bathroom seemed brand new and the outdoor area is just gorgeous. The breakfast is home made and delicious and also generous sizes. For sure we will choose it again to stay in that area! Perfectly located between castles ( Chambord and Amboise/Clos Luce).

La Bussière Castle is 30 km from Le Nichoir. The nearest airport is Paris - Orly Airport, 151 km from the inn. This is a gem! Nice, clean room in a charmingly converted barn. Nice breakfast and deliciously home coocked dinner by the owner, Claire. Her husband Thierry organises the use of local/regional products - You can buy regional wines and beers in the lounge/terrace. We stayed 3 nights and did “velo-tours” along the Loire. Staff is very welcoming and make you feel at home from the first moment. Highly recommended!!

A lovely location, very peaceful. The breakfast was lovely and the coffee great! The owners very kindly stored our bikes in their house overnight. We had to cycle out to (I think the only local restaurant) butbitbwas well worth it as the meal we had was exceptional.

Less than 1 km from Clos Lucé Mansion and 17 km from Chateau de Chaumont sur Loire, the property features a terrace and a bar. Château de Chenonceau is 20 km away and Saint-Pierre-des-Corps Train Station is 23 km from the guest house. The property is absolutely stunning! The rooms are all superbly decorated with unique details - it’s truly wonderful. Agnes the hostess is absolutely delightful. She is so welcoming - nothing is too much trouble - and her home cooked breakfasts are delicious! The location is perfect - we could walk to everything. We had 2 rooms - one overlooked the river and the other had views of the chateau. Can’t wait for an opportunity to travel to France and stay there again.
