Although the room was a little smaller than I had imagined, the rest of the pension was excellent. The shower was spacious and equipped with soap dispensers, the bed was comfortable and large, and there was clean water in the room upon check-in to quench a thirst. I also should mention local restaurant - the chef is a master of his craft. We had lunch and dinner with great pleasure, same as breakfast next day. Local beer is also worth noting for its excellent quality. In addition, as a bicycle tourist, I would like to mention the willingness of the staff to help us with the storage of our luggage while we visited the local Wörlitzer Park on the other day.

Bénéficiant d'un jardin et d'une vue sur la montagne, le Café & Pension Goldbachmühle est une maison d'hôtes durable située à Blankenburg, à 4,3 km du monastère Michaelstein. We a family of 5 adults and 3 years old boy spent a lovely weekend in the spacious, amazingly well decorated and very comfy apartment for up to 7 guests (5 adults and 2 kids, one of the rooms has two a bit shorter beds dedicated to kids-teenagers, this room does not have a bathroom, whereas the other two rooms (for 3 and 2 ppl, have their separate bathrooms). The building has a really impressive deco, bety stylish and cosy ambience. Breakfast was delicious with self made rolls, freshly pressed oranged juice, yogurt etc. Kichen although small, had everything what one would need. A big bonus was toys for kids in the apartment as well as in the lounge. In general amazing winter weekend in Harz.

Our host was extremely friendly. We arrived on the first night of Christmas and everywhere was closed even supermarkets. He was so nice and kind that cooked us very delicious food at night. Other than that rooms were clean with all the necessary facilities. Breakfast was also very good. Highly recommended!

We felt so welcomed, got fantastic recommendations, and were invited to a local town event--and once we showed up, she spotted us and went out of her way to greet us and ensure we felt included. Honest, helpful, accommodating; I can't say enough good things about the way the place was run. Our dogs were calm and comfortable despite at times being nervous travellers. Also, this is one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed.

The pension is a very charming place, a converted old farm with different type of accomodation. Bike storage was provided. Breakfast very good.

What an great place and fabulous hosts, this is one place to certainly put a smile on your face, what a find!. Neat and meticulously clean, loving little touches everywhere and completely decked out with everything one could need. Great spot along the Elbe river cycle track, an easy 15 min walk across the river bridge into town for restaurants and supplies...and the breakfast puts most commercial hotels to shame. We only wish we'd had more time to stay and explore the area a little bit. "Nussbaum" is a gem. Make that "GEM!" Kurz und buendig: Absolut TOP in jeder Beziehung, super-freundliche Gastgeber, blitzsauber, gemuetlich und gerade ueber die Elbebruecke, 15min zu Fuss ins Staedtchen. Hoechst empfehlenswert!
