This "Guest House" is huge. A family of 4+ could easily move in here and live comfortably. The back decks are beautiful to just sit and watch the jungle. It is a little way down the road from the city, which means it is quiet and very laid back. I had both a breakfast and a dinner while at the guest house. Both were great portions with a lot of variety, tasty, and well worth the money. Unfortunately, my schedule and Wendy's schedule didn't align for her bird tour. There was lots of flora and fauna to explore. My personal sightings included Toucans and a Morpha butterfly. I'm willing to bet that there was a lot I missed that Wendy could have found and shared!

Casa Ecológica - Sarapiqui is a holiday home featuring a garden with a terrace, located in La Virgen. The property features views of the mountains and is 49 km from San José. Large and beautiful cabin. Fully equipped kitchen. Beautiful surroundings for nature lovers. Kind and hospitable host. We took the dinner in the house and would recommend it. We also went with Wendy for a bird walk in the morning and a frog walk in the evening. We recommend them both. The trail to the waterfall is also worth trying.

Vistas del Conde offers accommodation in Heredia. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and free private parking is available on site. Some rooms have a seating area for your convenience. Marvelous stay in what I consider a magical place.

Set in Chilamate, 6 km from Sarapiquí, Hotel Boutique Malibu Los Sueños features air-conditioned rooms and free private parking. The rooms come with a TV with cable channels. Very clean and cute property. The owners were so helpful and accommodating. The hotel is also close to a restaurant we enjoyed very much called Rusti Ticos!
