Beautiful guest house managed by an exceptional team who is making you feel at home. We were greeted by the host, Sara, at our arrival and we felt like knowing each other for life. We traveled with our dog and she was accepted and welcomed like us. A big, fenced, garden around the property allowed us to let our dog off the leash. A simple but excellent dinner is proposed to the guests for a very moderate fee (appetizer, main dish and dessert). Water, beer, wine and more are available at all time in the fridge, as well as coffee and tea. The rooms are very spacious and clean, each with access to a balcony.

Offering panoramic views of the Lake Maggiore and the surrounding landscape, Osteria Locanda Brack enjoys a hillside position in Gudo, a 15-minute drive from the city of Locarno. The Michelin Guide listed restaurant with sunny terrace serves seasonal pasta dishes and vegetarian meals. Marco was a fantastic host, very welcoming. Dinner was delicious, everything was homemade and homegrown or very local (rocket from the garden, fish from the lake, wine from the neighbouring vineyard). Marco’s mixed pasta was exceptional. We had a super evening, nicely finished in front of the fire with grappa and music on the juke box. Super breakfast too… loved the walnut bread and so many delicious delicacies. We will definitely be returning, this is a very special place and worth a detour.

Typical Ticino-style Pensione Olanda is 1 km from the Madonna del Sasso pilgrimage church, and features garden and a terrace, furnished with deckchairs and offering panoramic views of Locarno and Lake Maggiore. Peacefully situated a 5-minute walk from the centre of Brissago and overlooking the Lake Maggiore, the family-run Residence Venus Garden is surrounded by a picturesque garden with a furnished terrace and barbecue facilities, and offers free of charge Wi-Fi in the entire building. Fantastic view on the lake. Very friendly owners. We enjoyed our visit a lot.

Offering free bikes and lake view, Dolceresio Lugano Lake B&B is set in Brusino Arsizio, 16 km from Swiss Miniatur and 17 km from Villa Panza. The property features sea and mountain views, and is 12 km from Mendrisio Station. The guest house has family rooms. The location of the B&B is lovely, a small quiet village on the lakeshore. The rooms are clean and well kept, our room had a lakeside view and it made for a beautiful wake up in the morning. They leave your keys in a little safe outside the building so you can arrive and check in by yourself at any hour, even at night, which is very handy. Breakfast was amazing, the owner served us at the table and offered us many kinds of homemade bread, they were extremely kind and welcoming, made us feel really well taken care of!

Villa del Sole Garni is located in Ponte Tresa, a 20-minute walk from Lake Lugano. It offers accommodation with kitchenettes and terraces, overlooking Monte di Varese and Malcantone.

All rooms and studios feature a minibar and a seating area. Some rooms have direct access to the outdoor pool. Everything was amazing. Our hosts were very friendly and kind. Beautiful and clean room with a great terrace. Homemade confiture that was served with breakfast from fruit grown on the property was the best I’ve ever had.
