The room was very comfortable. We had everything we needed. When we checked out they sent us on our way with some fresh banitza which was lovely.

Boasting a private beach area and views of mountain, Чилковата Къща is a recently renovated guest house situated in Banya, 5 km from Holy Virgin Church. The setting in a quiet village near Bansko, the mineral pool which was fabulous and the owner Voika who was so kind. The room was basic and the bathroom a little tight but for the amount of time I spent there it didn’t matter too much. The pool is fed by a hot mineral spring so is always hot no matter the season. This is also a restaurant so you can eat heartily there too. Voika has no English so you’ll need to rely on Google translate to communicate.

We will be back for sure while visiting the country

The village is beautiful, and the family was very kind and welcoming. We had a great time exploring the village and getting to know the host and her family. She was very knowledgable about the area and gave great recommendations and some local history. Her english is perfect, and she was very communicative beforehand with instructions on where to park, and how to find the property.
