It is 15 minutes to Gmunden to the lake by car and for its resonable price it is the best accomodation in the area.

Our stay at Steegwirt exceeded our expectations. Everything was simple great, starting by how we were greeted by one of the owners, and ending with the fascinating view from the window of our room. A river is running at the foot of the hotel and right after it is a mountain with a waterfall🗻 what a view to wake up to! The food is also delicious with a number of Austrian dishes made from local ingredients, and the breakfast is one of the best we've ever had during traveling. There is pretty much everything you need in the room, and the staff will give you anything you lack. The rooms are clean and designed in a traditional Austrian style with a modern twist.
