From the terrace and the room you have amazing views over False Bay and Boulder Beach. And you can see the penguins (I would recommend binoculars to see details) or even spot whales if you are lucky...The sunrise is also great! The bed is comfortable the kitchen has everything you need to prepare a basic meal. The apartment itself is not as spacious as other places in South Africa but is definetely big enough for two people, Boulder Beach is in walking distance, Simons Town is a great location to explore the peninsula. Heather, the owner, is a great host and I would definitely stay again there when coming back to Simons Town!

We had the pleasure of spending one night at Residence William French in March. From the moment we arrived Primrose made us feel at home and did everything in her power to make our stay special. Dinner was a very romantic affair and the food was excellent. The Blue Room was stunning, every piece of furniture bespoke, large spacious bed with luxurious linen and the most magnificent views!

The location and the view from the room were amazing. We saw an amazing sunrise while still in our bed and also a great for seeing the brilliant night sky (we were lucky with the weather on one day). Gillian was an amazing host and the morning breakfast prepared by her was so great! She also gave us great recommendations about things to do in and around town.

Absolutely excellent breakfast wonderfully prepared by a very kind and helpful employee (Nikkita- she is absolutely wonderful!) great view from the room - overlooking the ocean, beautifully decorated rooms, spotlessly clean. I wish we could have stayed forever. One of the best stays during our entire trip.

Both Liesel and Mandy welcomed us to the Mariners Guesthouse and looked after us for our entire stay. They were happy to help with their knowledge of the local area and couldn't do enough for us. Our rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast had a good selection of cereal, fruit, yogurt and cooked options. The balcony views across the Naval Yard and False Bay were fantastic.

This establishment is very centrally located in Simons Town is a very safe area. We had a beautify sea view apartment with two bedrooms and a large full bathroom with shower and bath tub. We could park our car on street level without any worries. The apartment is clean, well-equipped and luxurious. The hosts were friendly and helpful. They went out of the way to accommodate our need to store our luggage for two nights between stays. They even do the dishes for us. We can definitely recommend this place and will be staying there again when we go to Simons Town.
