The most hospitable staff I’ve ever encountered, although there were language barriers with the caregivers, they’d make sure to contact the owner who can speak english and interpret things for us. Location-wise, pretty great also since it’s within the centre of landmarks.

The room is big, clean and comfortable. The window looks at the inner garden, which makes the place very quiet. Our host is an open-minded,energetic woman. She speaks fluently Russian and English. The breakfasts are served in a seperate room, which can be used by the guests to prepare their own meals.

The guesthouse is located downtown, only a 10min drive from most attractions by bus or taxi, but it’s definitely worth it. Whilst the center is very touristy (I even heard some locals speak of some streets as « hotel streets »), OPTIMIST is located in a charming residential area, close to many delightful restaurants. Great location, clean guest house with new rooms, all was exceptional but what I need to state here - go to this guest house not just because it is awesome but because it has the nicest host ever! Knoing good english, being there for us for every tiny detail we asked, and taking us to the train station for free, simply deserves a huge thanks and for sure we going to meet again!
