Kiwavi Home is one of the best places I’ve stayed in East Africa. The breakfast prepared by Jackie — the happiest, nicest person I’ve met in Tanzania! — in the mornings is gourmet! Truly the best breakfast I have had anywhere I have stayed, many fruits, avocado, eggs, chapati or pancakes, coffee, tea, porridge … whatever your heart desires I’m sure you can find it in this incredible breakfast spread. I am backpacking and Kiwavi Home offers rooms priced within a backpacker budget. Simba is the manager of the place, and is a really kind and helpful person, he can organize cars and trips to the different sights to see in and around Moshi, and he can help advise you on how to do it yourself if your budget is limited and you prefer dala dala. Our time at Shimbwe guest house will always be very memorable. We were greeted with much warmth which continued throughout our stay. There were a couple of miscommunication along the way, but they were dealt with swiftly and effectively. The food really is as good as people say, and the view is even better. (The chef is also a wondeful human!) Victor is not only a kind but gracious host and will go out of his way to make you comfortable and make sure you're having a vest time - as do all the staff. They're all incredibly attentive and go out of their way to make your stay amazing. We even had a bonfire every night and a bbq set up. The waterfall hike with Baraka was a walk I'll never forget. Please just do it now. The walk and the scenery is phenomenal and the guide is so very knowledgeable and helpful thay you can't help but fall in love with him by the end. We also did the day mountain hike which was unforgettable. Our guide Baku was really truly amazing and if you get a chance to go with him you must jump on it. He's very interested in the nountain ans nature and it resllt shines through. He also has wonderul conversation and is keen to learn and to reach. Would absolutely recommend staying here. In fact we were sad we didnt stay long enough!

The price is the best. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and it is very easy to get a transport. The shared bathroom is in-front of the bedrooms. It has a big yard and is quiet

The Best what You can do being in Tanzania, stay at Tulivu Kilimanjaro Retreat. It’s really the ideal place for Retreat with an amazing staff and really friendly people. The Victoria and Emmanuel manage all processes in the Hotel. I with my husband went to Kilimanjaro and decided before climbing stay at this wonderful place and we were met by Victoria and girls (unfortunately did not remember the names, sorry) on arrival who were very hospitable. Food was excellent, room was perfect (very clean) and people just amazing. We booked the excursion through the hotel and it was very well organized. It`s not just the “place”, you can really feel the soul of Tanzanian people through staying in this place. When I had some health problems after climbing Kilimanjaro, Emmanuel took me with my husband to hospital to find the doctor I need, that helped me a lot. We are very happy to meet such wonderful people and stay in such amazing place. Keep going and we are sure that having such team all projects will be realized at their best.
