Why are the croissants in Tunisia so much better than home?! The breakfast was good (it includes croissants!), the rooms was comfortable and the property was as beautiful as the photos. Our host, Hedi, was very helpful and accommodating.

It's a very pretty and quaint place, perfect for relaxation. The courtyard is dominated by a pink peppercorn tree which is surrounded by blossomed plants and shrubs. Simba the cat lounges on the outdoor seating. Check out the photos (the room photo is from when I was leaving, it was much tidier when I arrived) The location is amazing! The La Marsa downtown and the TGM train station which connects to Sidi Bou Said, Carthage, and Tunis is a 2 minute walk away. My room was fantastic, it had everything I needed. However, the doorway into the bathroom area was a bit small (for me as 189 cm tall guy) so if you're a big person, might be a bit tight but easily manageable. The bathroom and toilet areas are normal sized. Except for that nitpick, no other faults. Said and Fufu are fantastic hosts and made me feel like a part of the family throughout my stay. Said is a very fun and interesting person to talk to, I had some great conversations with him. Overall, a very kind-hearted couple! If you are a solo traveller and this is your first time in Tunisia (like it was for me) I would highly recommend this place. La Marsa is a safe neighbourhood and well connected to the nearby sites.

This beautiful old house, perfectly renovated and refurbished with love, is located in the heart of La Marsa Cubes in the second row to the beach. It is a beautiful, full of lovely details and art and very quiet location. The staff was extremely friendly, the rooms were cleaned daily and the breakfast was very sumptuous and varied. Our requests were very kindly accommodated. All in all, highly recommended. An absolute oasis of well-being to relax and sleep. After the very generous breakfast, which is also served until noon, one is satiated to start the day and explore the surroundings. The beach is well frequented during the months of July and August on weekends. In the morning and during the week, however, one has his peace.

Mario & Anne together with Oude, Asma, Kone & staff have created an incredible maison d’hotes. Charmante, peaceful and welcoming. The photos and experience do not do this place justice. I rarely say a place is a hidden gem, but in this case it’s true. Anne & Mario are also the brains & heart behind the global brand Amarante parfums. Villa Edo is lovingly and tastefully designed. My room and the maison d’hote was out of an Elle decor magazine. Breakfasts were sumptuous. Conversations with local guests heart warming and opening. Normally at a bnb/hotel one makes small talk (I hate small talk), but here people shared their profound experiences. Come here if you’re a well travelled person, curious about the world and people. You will leave with many unexpected gifts including more beauty, joy, and peace.
