We stayed at the Rice Barn and Rooms for 9 nights. We really enjoyed it here. The atmosphere is marvelous. You feel like you're in a small jungle lodge, surrounded by birds, frogs and rippling water. Ali and Nok are very friendly and helpful hosts who are always keen to fulfil wishes and give tips. The complex is informal and spacious. Lots of greenery, a lovely little pool and ponds where people and animals can relax. There are also various seating and sunbathing areas in the garden where you can relax. Rice Barn and Rooms is less than 20 kilometers outside Chiang Mai. This shouldn't put anyone off, as you can easily get into the city by Bolt or Grab at any time for 170 to 230 baht. Ali and Nok also hire out motorbikes to explore the surrounding area or drive into the city by yourself. Thank you very much for these wonderful days!!!

Bob, the owner, showed us a lot of support by giving us a lot of tips and contacts for activities and for renting a scooter. He was always so nice and here to help. The place is super cute and comfy. The location is a bit far from the city center but if you have a scooter it's no problem.

It’s a little oasis, in a mostly Thai area, not far from the airport and Big C. The room is nice and the bed is very comfortable. The owner is very kind and treated me to a delicious breakfast of local food and delicious cup of coffee.

The use of the pool and sharing the property with the friendly owners and their adorable dog jessie and cats, was lovely. Only a 10 minute walk from the Grand Canyon, therefore, ideal if you’re visiting that or just fancy a relaxing retreat. Could also order food to the property via grab.

Just a 15-minute walk to the local market that operates seven nights a week. Big C, 7-11 and Lotus all very handy and nearby. Very quiet and peaceful in a secure gated community. Lots of good restaurants and even a couple of passable coffee shops in easy walking distance. Very friendly and polite hosts who give you your space. Good Wi-Fi connection. The room and facilities were very clean and comfortable.

The outdoor kitchen was so cool and I loved enjoying my coffee every morning watching the sun come up. The property has so many beautiful decorations and the pool was great to stay cool and relax after our daily excursions. The hosts/owners Al and Nok were so awesome and there personalities added to the charm of the stay. Was a great location for our stay in Chiang Mai. A truly Thai experience.
