One of the only locations available in town. Very well equipped, a great host that even pointed us to a wonderful restaurant where we got a great dinner.

Our stay at Quinta da Dourada was exceptional! The staff were extremely friendly, the suite was very comfortable and clean, especially the bed. The bedroom was very dark so we slept extremely well. The breakfast was simpel but good and definately enough. Every little detail has been carefully thought out here. We had a private sitting area outside, with great views. This rural retreat is set on a farm that has been in the family for 285 years, so you really get that homely feel. We were extremely lucky to get a suite here because they are normally booked out from the beginning of June until October and I can see why!!

Superb apartments almost in the center of town. The apartment was huge and has plenty of room for a family of 4 (double and bunk beds). The shower room was huge. Everything felt very clean and new. Check in was via the recption desk at the hotel just down the road from apartments. Staff were friendly. My only complaint is that they don't allow bikes inside even though there was plenty of room. Bikes are kept in the courtyard/garden to the back of the property, which is safe enough if locked.

Calm, quiet, excellent pool and brilliant hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was to die for - Loads of different continental options with regional products. The Quinta is situated close to Castelo de Vide e Marvão which are lovely places to visit, however is in a remote enough location for it to feel like a break from a busy life.
