Casa da Vinha Grande is the perfect place for a truly authentic experience of the Douro Valley. Sofia is a genuine host who is eager to share her love for her region and all that it has to offer. We loved lounging around the house and taking our time and talking to Sofia. We enjoyed a delicious dinner together that she cooked for us. Sofia gave us so many excellent recommendations tailored to our preferences which made our visit absolutely wonderful. Our 9 year old daughter loved spending time with Sofia's adorable dogs and making freshly squeezed orange juice in the morning

The interior and exterior design of the hotel is beautiful. The views all over are spectacular. The quinta is really impressive. We stayed 4 nights there because we wanted to enjoy everything that the property has to offer. The wine tasting and the presentation of the process of wine production was also very interesting.

The location was fabulous. A great place to explore the Douro Valley from. The room was lovely and the extra special touches of all the extra accessories and little biscuits/sweets in the room each day made it special. The breakfast was huge.
