There was a beautiful outlook over the valley and gardens. Maria’s cakes in the morning and jam were also delicious at breakfast.

The vineyard was located high on the hill near the village of Mesão Frio, with an open vista of the Douro Valley. The environment is tranquil and natural, surrounded by plantations and with a swimming pool to take dips in the hot summer weather. The owners/staff were fantastic, especially Senhor Carlos who was friendly, humble, and happy to help with anything.

if you are reading this review- please book this hotel! it was one of the best experiences in my life. Liliana and the crew was incredible, you can see that they love to host. it is such a great feeling that you’re being taking care of. breakfast is amazing, fruits from the trees in the garden, the room is new clean and beautiful. beautiful views and amazing tennis court and pool.

Nestled in the vineyards and olive trees with views over the valley. Spacious rooms, meticulously and tastefully decorated with attention to the small things down to fresh oranges, yummy cookies and port in the room. Super comfy beds. Very welcoming and cozy. Dinner was superb and presented beautifully. Thanks to Cristiano who was always available to ensure our stay was perfect which truly was the highlight of a three week vacation in Portugal.

We had a wonderful short stay at Casa Cardoso! The host made sure we had anything we needed and offered us homemade port and helped us with all our questions. The room was cozy and the balcony view was awesome to drink the offered port from.

the view was amazing!! There were several places to sit to admire the view. The hosts were lovely and made us very welcome.

The view was excellent, all very tastefully done. Comfortable bed and the bathroom. They also had a very good hair drier which was missing in other places (I have lots of hair). It was so pretty I had a chance to seat on the balcony and paint. Great space.

My room was very clean and comfortable. the hostess was very nice, i felt very welcome. The location was in the prettiest part of the valley.

Everyhing was perfect. The hosts were very welcoming, the atmosphere at the hotel is very cozy, feels like home. The facilities were also great - the pool and jacuzzi were very nice even in the colder season (we were here in March). Very nice and filling breakfast - toast, eggs, hams, cheeses, yoghurt, fruit, freshly baked scones and pies etc… The room is minimalistic, with stylish furniture, all you need. Overall feel at the hotel is that a lot of thought and heart went into it. The location is beautiful - amazing views from the room as well as beautiful nature and attractions nearby.
