Perfect for a short or long stay while exploring Castelo Branco. The bed was comfortable with nice linens. Bathroom was extra spacious with a large shower and nice towels. A nice gift basket with water, ice tea, pastry and coffee was provided. That was appreciated. The air conditioner worked well without too much noise. We parked on the street nearby under a shady tree.

The location was awesome right next to a beautiful creek.. very quiet and pretty village. The house itself was fantastic, cozy, clean and all amenities provided (even food in the pantry and some welcome cakes in the kitchen). Well done to the hosts of casa Penafalcão! a trully enjoyable experience and we will certainly come back and stay again soon!

The whole building has been renovated with taste and first class materials, The premises are spotless clean. The room is large, as is the bathroom. The check in process is all done on-line with a building/room entry code being forwarded the night before the arrival date. Breakfast can be had at any of the very nearby pastelarias. A well equipped common (large) kitchen is available for all guests.
