We really liked the challet and the place itself. It was quiet, with great views and with borrowed car we can go anywhere with no problem. The communication over the whatsapp was perfect, we also received nice gift for the beginning - tasty snacks of mainly local food. The beds were comfortable as well as outside sitting, the kitchen had all equipment we needed and even more ,-) The swimming pool is very nice with views, just the watter could be a bit warmer. But our litte one loved it anyway. We have also tried the nearby restaurant and the food was very yummy.

This was the most pleasant stay we had in almost a month on Madeira! The host Luis and his family are so welcoming, kind and helpful. The view from the unit is absolutely beautiful and it is fully equipped with everything you could need. The apartment was so clean and very well maintained. We were treated like family; it was the most personable stay I have ever had anywhere in the world. The town of Calheta is so quaint but yet has everything you could need. It is a perfect place to stay on the island to have a relaxing time yet still be close enough to everything you want to do.

The property was so charming and well kept. Beautiful area to eat breakfast and enjoy the backyard. The breakfast was excellent.

It's very peaceful place. If you are on Madeira for hiking and looking for place without people, it's right place to be. You will get whole flat - with fridge, kitchen and even washing machine. The awesome terrace with sun afternoon. you won't see sunrise or sunset, there are hills everywhere, but the panoramic view to ocean is awesome anyway. remember - you have to bring everything with you or buy in the next supermarket (powder for washing machine, shampoo etc. I found oil and salt only in the kitchen), which is fully ok, but I think, it's good, if you know it in advance. I went every second day to restaurant and cooked also self (vegetables and fish are very tasty there even from supermarket) there is good restaurant 5 min by car or 10 min walking (but remember - you live on the top, so you have to walk also back after your dinner) and couple of little supermarkets in neighborhood. Easy parking. Car is a must, if you rent this flat. Calheta is 10 min by car - for ocean, beach and whale-watching tours (use H2O company, they are awesome). In lower flat live older man, who was friendly to me and even gave me on my last day some bananas from local garden. (we couldn't communicate due to language, but it was very touchful moment). the owner of flat speaks French and a little bit English, but actually there was no urgent need to communicate (except I asked once about trash - you have to put it in container on the street)

Lovely cottages. Beautiful pool area to watch the sunset. Pedro and his wife were the best hosts - with great local recommendations for everything. Small touches that make a difference - cloths for dirty hiking boots, local fruit and herbs, book exchange. A lovely place to return to after a day exploring the island.

Great staff and very good restaurant. Nice pool and all rooms have beautiful view of the ocean. A/C in the room.

The host was great always available and friendly but not over hovering us. Great hosting overall. The house was very tastefully decorated and newly renovated, with a well equipped outside space and even a small pool. Bathroom was very clean and loved the rain shower.

A real pleasure to stay in this big home sarounded by very expensive homes. While I enjoyed the company with others staying there, I also enjoyed having the home completely to myself throughout most of the day. Excellent views, very clean. The bedroom and bathroom seemed like it's own apartment, very large. The owners husband and wife are very sweet, and I enjoyed sharing lots of stories with the owner.
