This is a small boutique hotel with only 8 rooms however with full service 24/7. The property opened in 2022 after the carefull restoration of a city palace. The decoration is beautiful and the owners clearly spend a fortune on it, which shows from the attention to detail. We had a very spacious room, good beds, wonderful shower and as it is an old mansion, there are many beautiful details in the room like the shutters for the windows. Also beautiful city views and very bright. The breakfast is served on the rooftop wit the option to sit outside at the rooftop terrace. Very nice. Also very good breakfast offer. We asked the very friendly staff to make restaurant reservations for 2 nights and they recommended the better restaurants in Alveiro. We would surely recommend to stay here and it us worth the price.

Laura & Rita have raised the bar far beyond the “smiley face” ratings for hospitality and cleanliness! The breakfast buffet was out of this World! We departed their home feeling like we were visiting our relatives. I gave the home a very good rating for location only because I was looking for something with a beachfront view but the value of this property and the fact that the location was so close for many sights to see deserves a higher rating.

We had a perfect stay at Abrigo das Andorinhas! The house is beautiful and its surroundings are amazing. We also really enjoyed the pool and the pool table. The hosts are wonderful people!

Great location right next to the train station in a beautiful buildings. The owners also work in bakery on the first floor where you can collect your keys. They were very kind and checked me in earlier.

The housekeeper, Ms Leonor, is very kind. The residence is very clean and comfortable. The common kitchen is clean and easy to use. There is a nice garden. The residence is located in the old and very nice fishermen's neighborhood, at 3 minutes from the town center. We hope to come back here again!

The room was very quiet, but actually there were only few guests as it is November - low season, so not sure how it would be when the guest house is full. All in all the stay was very comfortable and I recommend this place!

The room where I stayed was lovely, nicely decorated and very comfortable. The view from the terrace was also a good one. The whole building is a nice historical one with charming hallways and windows. Besides that the guesthouse owner is a kind and pleasant lady who is running also the pastry shop in the building. It's a great place to try some traditional Portuguese desserts. I couldn't have wished for a better place to stay in Aveiro. Highly recommended!
