Appleby House & Rabbit Island Huts offer two different accommodation types and is located between Richmond and Mapua on the road to the Abel Tasman National Park. Situated on 25 acres it offers views of Waimea Estuary, Mt Arthur ranges and farmland. Mapua and Richmond are both 8 minutes' drive away.

The glamping tent was awesome. Secluded spot, away from the rest of the accomodation. The view was amazing! We would definitely stay here again!

This was a very spacious apartment, with views of the lovely garden, right outside the wide windows. We barbecued on the patio, sheltered by the upstairs balcony, a lovely sunny spot for breakfast too. Everything in the place was top quality, with everything you could need for a self catering stay. A very comfortable bed, with super linens and fluffy towels. The laundry facilities were very useful on our long trip away. A pair of bikes to use, made such a difference for us. Very friendly owners too, so thank you for a wonderful stay.

In a great location on the outskirts of Mapua where you benefit from the quiet but within driving distance of the wharf and shops, and also within 30 mins drive of Abel Tasman. A lovely location within the grounds of Nicky’s home - she is a great host who was really friendly and provided a wonderfully unexpected treat of homemade muffins and a continental breakfast. A great 2 night stay!
