Continental and Asian breakfast options with pancakes and fruits are available every morning at the guest house. At HOTEL RUPAKOT AND ROOFTOP RESTAURANT, the family-friendly restaurant is open for dinner, lunch and brunch and specialises in American cuisine.

Many things that we loved about our stay! Very friendly staff, a rooftop where we could dry our laundry and enjoy our meals, you can phone the reception from your room to order food to enjoy on the rooftop which is an amazing service for the affordable price! Breakfast was some of the best we’ve had in Nepal. Actually all of the food they serve in their on site restaurant is delicious. Comfortable bed, warm enough, big bathroom compared to many other accommodation in Nepal. Great location, close to lots of cool things to see!

The property was cozy, clean and the beds were very comfortable. We stayed during the end of December so the weather was much cooler at night and the owners gave us a space heater and extra blankets at no extra charge. The location is perfect right next to the pottery square and Bhaktapur Dubar Square. Our host was very nice and helped us with a taxi to the airport and with local recommendations for our time there. We would definitely stay there again.

Located in Bhaktapur Durbar Square World Heritage site, just aside of Shiva temple and 55 window palace, It's the oldest Guest House in the city from 1984 A.D. Shiva Guest House offers a 20-hour front desk, free parking on the property and a Tour desk.

The hotel is on the edge of Bhaktapur Durbar Square, and our room looked directly out to the old palace and temples. Our view was gorgeous. When we wanted to go exploring, we could just step out of the hotel and everything was walking distance. The staff were extremely helpful. In fact, there was a glitch in the Booking.com app where our itinerary, inexplicably, did not match the hotel's. We got a bit anxious and stubborn because we had transcribed our intinerary based on our trip listings in the Booking app. But the owner very patiently asked us to sit down and figure it out, and we were humbled to find that our schedule was mixed up. We were able to sort it all out, because we were taking a side trip to stay outside of town for a night, returning to stay at Shiva House again. Shiva House stored our luggage while we were away. Also, the food in the restaurant is excellent. *There is a restaurant right next door as well, with a beautiful garden courtyard, worth checking out. We hired Myla (not sure of the spelling) to drive us to many sites, which was a great help. Everything is easy walking distance from Shiva House, and we loved that we could walk back and take a break at any time.

Super cozy and friendly hostel in a great location. Bishwo, the owner is very helpful and knows a lot about the area. He helped me with my indian visa and recommended the best local restaurants and places to go in Bhaktapur as well as outside the city. The hot showers work very well and the beds are comfortable. Furthermore you can use the rooftop terrace of the guesthouse just across the streets for some amazing sunset.

Nice, clean rooms. Shared kitchen is great also as they aren't too common in Nepal I feel. The atmosphere with it being private rooms in a shared communal space is great, friendly and communal so you chat with other guests but you have more privacy and is generally a bit more relaxed than in a hostel. Shekhar is a great host who will show you local food and culture also! Highlights - rooftop fire night and watching the world cup match + what might be the coldest beer I've ever had!

    * Simple, as shown on the pictures, but clean * Owner discret and very careful * Calm and quiet (little alley) * Bhaktapur is a great location for visiting surroundig areas (Dhulikel, Panauti, Changu etc) and not only for the town itself.
