Son habitaciones en una casa compartida pero nunca te topas con gente. El anfitrión respondió rápidamente a todas nuestras inquietudes. El ingreso al alojamiento es auto check in muy sencillo. En la casa puedes usar todo: lavadora, microondas, hervidor, cocina, plancha, etc. La habitación están cómodas, silenciosa y el baño preciso. La ubicación, si bien no estás en el centro por Grab es muy fácil de llegar a todas partes y económico. Está ubicado cerca del centro de comida 101 que tiene de todo, lavandería, farmacia, café, restaurante, etc. Recomiendo esté alojamiento. Si volviera a kuching me quedaría acá nuevamente.

It was a great pleasure to stay at Merdeka Guest House! Firstly, the host - he is super helpful, friendly, we spent great time together, he recommended fantastic local spots, made a little foody surprise in the mornings, even helped us find good cheap durian to try! Secondly, the room - it's small but clean and you have everything you need. It was one of our best stays in Malaysia.

Location, it's in an apartment building above a mall, there is a night market nearby, so it's convenient. Spotless clean, well equipment and furnished, the owners were friendly. Our stay was comfortable and pleasant.

I booked a three night stay that I ended up extending for four more nights! From the start, Zack was a great host. He offered to pick me up from the airport for the same rate as a Grab, but rather than taking me straight to the guesthouse, he gave me a tour around the city and we stopped for dinner on the way! One day I went to the laundry and it started raining heavily, I get a message from Zack offering to come pick me up (for free)! Throughout my stay, Zack would check to see if I needed anything and he provided me with lots of suggestions for things to check in and around Kuching and I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations as well as the conversations with the other guests in the communal kitchen.

The guesthouse is well located, close to various bus stops and the waterfront. The single room is large and clean, with a window, a small table with a chair and even a lockable closet. It's a bit loud in the morning, the garbage collection comes very early and the walls aren't quite as soundproof, but I still found it very nice. Sam had offered that I could either take this room or one without a window, but I stayed in the one with a window. The mattress was actually a bit hard, but that was the case in other accommodations too, so maybe that's normal. The owners Sam and Jane are super nice, helpful and always open to a conversation and always have tips and information to hand. The breakfast was also plentiful and lovingly prepared. The stay is rounded off by the sweet and sometimes playful furry friends. Most of the guests were friendly, communicative and considerate. I felt very comfortable and would choose it again.

Morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the river, Good-natured staff, amazing hand-carved wooden furniture throughout created an old world vibe. Quiet, even during Chinese new year.

Clean and Fan works well, it is cool enough even there is no ac in the single room.
