- the staff is just amazing, you truly feel welcomed in a little family. The share every possible information about Georgetown and Penang, what is worth sightseeing and eating, they provide personalized suggestions about pretty much every possible need or situation; - the guesthouse has a ton of character, the cats are just so sweet and friendly, and the place has just everything you need: lots of local choices and variety for breakfast, snacks throughout the day, fresh water, etc. - the location is in the middle of Little India, which in turn is a very convenient starting point for exploring the heritage city. The area around is very crowded but we never got bothered by the noises of the nightlife (earplugs are provided in that case)

I had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous guesthouse. It was very peaceful and pleasant staying there the owner is very helpful and kind and they had cats on the property which made it feel more like home.

The room is spacious. Bigger than I saw from the picture. The breakfast is assorted of Chinese, Western, Malay, and Indian. You can conveniently sample local food from the hotel breakfast.

My friend and I had a lovely stay at Aayu Melayu for 3 nights. Great location to explore Georgetown, close to the heritage centre and countless restaurants and cafes. The building itself is a lovely guesthouse and our room was spotless and bathrooms very clean. Shane and his staff were so helpful both in advance via WhatsApp and once we arrived and they offered lots of great recommendations. Would highly recommend our stay here. Thank you!
