I spent enjoyable time in SIS Tourist Villa, the Staff is amazing and the Guest House is highly recommended if you want to stay in Mathiveri, also for the location, near to the bikini beach. New furniture, comfy bed and spotless. All the staff make you feel like home and encounter all your needs. Also breakfast met my expectations, they offer a real maldivian breakfast - which I liked a lot - but they also provide you with the service of dinner/lunch on demand, with several choices of food/main dishes.

We stayed in Ari Villa for 10 days and we loved every day there! I must say that this Villa is THE BEST place to stay on Mathiveri Island. Ari Villa has THE BEST LOCATION!! Literally 15 seconds walk through beautiful and clean palm forest to the beautiful beach, you can use free kayaks and access beautiful small island which is next to. Ismael the host is very friendly and helpful, he also gave us beautiful souvenir made by himself on the day of our departure. We absolutely loved the place! And we are going to come back to Ari Villa next year! For sure! 😁

Close to the bikini beach (about 50m). The little sand bank island is also close by. Breakfast was nice. They offered to use their 2 kayaks for free.

We loved everything about this guesthouse. The location is perfect, right next to the bikini beach. Once again we would like to thank Areesh and his team for being super nice and helpful and for organizing our transfers from the airport and helping us with the luggage. You don't need agency when you book with Areesh ;) The island itself is a must-visit! The white sandy beach is beautiful and has a lot of palm trees! We had a most magical time at Sands Inn at Mathiveri. The Fahudh and Niro are the most lovely people and made us feel comfortable at once. Fahudh, the manager was always reachable and helped us with everything, starting with typical requests like travel arrangements and trips, but also with other wishes and problems like buying some special local food or an ATM machine, that did not work on our last day, when we urgently needed cash. We had breakfast and lunch everyday. The food Niro prepared was incredible good and diverse, although we are difficult to serve as vegans. ;) Vegan fluffy pancakes like we never had before and the curries we will remember forever. The location of the Inn was also perfect. In 2-3 minutes to dreamy spots at the bikini beach and as well in 3 minutes at the harbour, where we watched dozens of nurse sharks and stingrays at many nights. Google maps makes it look like the bikini beach, is in the south west further away, but when we were there in November 2023 many parts along the south side were designated as bikini beach. On the public beaches you really have to be covered or someone will immediately tell you to put on clothes. But this is the same on all local islands. We did two trips. One to see Mantas and one to see Whale Sharks and both were successful and good organized. The snorkelling possibilities on south side, bikini beach are not so great. We found some nice spots behind the picinic island, where you can easily swim to. But there is also a better snorkelling area south of the harbour. There you have to pass a long not so deep area with corals to get to the deeper and beautiful area. This is only possible during the high tide. It is a bit stressful not to touch the Corals. The danger of getting hurt by the Corals is not so high, but you should also not touch them in order not to destroy them. Of course you have to swim with long cloth there, but you want to do this on sunny days anyway in order not to get heavily sun burned.
