A very pleasant stop on the way between Tiout oasis and Palais Claudio Bravo. Should have stayed longer than one night. Taroudant and its surroundings are worth it. The room (Suite with Terrace) and private balcony were great. The restaurant offers local food with a French touch. You can feel the hand of a professional chef. Good wine is served. But the best part was the service. All our wishes and questions were answered and resolved. Even those that were not directly related to the hotel. Thank you! Down a short cul de sac in the Medina , the entrance door led into a very beautiful , green courtyard garden area with a fountain … such a pleasant atmosphere . Our rooms were adjacent to each other on the garden floor . Upstairs where our breakfasts and dinners were served was also was filled with climbing trees , bugenvia, palms and cactus . Birds chirped at dusk and two doves were building their nest above the fountain. Our warm and friendly hostess Zenia ( spelling ?) greeted us and took such good care of us during our entire stay . The breakfast was varied and complete with toast , crepes , cheese , yogurt ,jams and honey and a large pot of brewed , hot coffee . We had two delicious dinners served in the candle lit courtyard , while classical piano music played softly nearby. Both my sister and brother-in-law are excellent cooks themselves , but they raved about the French -Moroccan cuisine that was prepared by our smiling and talented cook. The beautifully understated interiors and the fantastic old adobe architecture highlighted the ambiance of this magical Riad .
