The cottage is located within 5mins drive from the Sigiriya Lion Rock site & close to many restaurants & other travel amenities (such as ATM & laundry).

This is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at, and I strongly believe should be a must-stay for anyone in Sri Lanka, particularly if you’re thinking of checking out Sigirya. The hostel is perfectly clean and comfortable, the vibes are amazing and friendly, the staff are amazing and the activities on offer and second to none. Family dinner is delicious and the perfect way to meet people and plan your days, and I really cannot recommend Roy’s Villa enough.

Wild elephants, monkeys, peacocks, cows, herons, frogs, crickets, lightning bugs and tens and hundreds of wide range of other wild animals around, just few meters from us. This is a gem of a place. The location is magical with views of Sigiriya Rock across beautiful rice paddies. There are numerous birds to watch from your balcony or the rooftop lounge where you have your delicious breakfast. The rooms are simple and comfortable with AC, hot water and WiFi. You can walk to the village for restaurants, or by the rice paddies to check out the nearby lake. But the best part is the family that owns the guest house - they are absolutely wonderful and really demonstrate what hospitality is all about. We really enjoyed our time at this guest house.

Amazing hosts, amazing food. Surrounded by nature. I cannot recommend this place enough if you come to Sigirya. Everything was arranged for us, we slept like kings and ate all sorts of beautiful dishes.
