We loved staying here at the start and end of our journey, it felt like a home away from home :) Very clean, spacious and comfy rooms, bathrooms and kitchen area were exceptionally clean and maintained. Great location for exploring the area as well.

My husband and I made use of the lovely area downstairs which turns into a small quiet bar at night. We had the best local Gin here which we ended up ordering on Amazon Japan to our last hotel to take home. Very cool design which I loved! Our teenage girl enjoyed the extra space downstairs for some computer time. A public bath next door which gave us an amazing local experience.

Luckily, I was able to find Surf G-Inn which turned out to be a great experience. The host, Takaji, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. He gave me some great suggestions around the area and was kind enough to drop me off to the port for me to catch my ferry. On-site laundry facilities - good to have especially when one is moving from city to city (travelling light with minimal clothing etc). It’s location is great for our purpose - though a little away from the main train station and city centre - of having some peace and quiet. Also, they responded super fast. The space was very clean & the fact that we didn’t have to wash our dishes was very convenient. Check-in was flexible & we got detailed info/recommendations tailored to our needs. My only regret is that I didn’t book a longer stay. Recommend to try out the local Ramen with Sushi!). I also enjoyed breakfast while chilling in the lounge surrounded by interesting books.
