Mariko is so generous and friendly - the rooms are comfy and clean and close walk to the supermarket and trains. She even made us breakfast that we turned into out own EkiBen; I'd been missing fresh fruit on our trip and we had a piece of everything. Thank you Mariko san!

Elizabeth and Satoshi are absolutely perfect hosts - thanks for having us! The rooms are traditional style, clean, contain everything you need. The outdoors onsen, looking over the forest and mountains around was a dream come true. Our only regret was that we didn't opt in for dinner - would have been a treat :)

Lovely staff. A decent course meal. Just when you want a break from asian dishes, but still wants to enjoy other cultures. Nice sleep. Quiet place, comfortable beds and the hot springs sure helps.

The location was great! The view from my room is overlooking Lake Chuzenji. It was very beautiful when I went in autumn. Also, the staff were great! They were very helpful and very easy to communicate with. Highly recommended!

I really had a fantastic time staying at Sanga Niko. The room was cosy and the bed was very comfortable. The room wasn't huge but if I needed more space I could always go to the shared living room & kitchen area which was spacious and had a lovely vibe to it. It has been a while since I stayed in an accomodation with a shared bathroom but I shouldn't have worried - everything was always exceptionally clean. I also appreciated that there was a washer and dryer that I could use. I met a couple of the other guests who were staying at the accomodation but never heard any noise from the other rooms. The owner, Yoshi, is a wonderful host and really helped me make the best out of my time in Nikko. Overall, it's a great choice for travelers who are looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place in Nikko. I highly recommend it.

The property is amazing. It is in a quiet location a short walk from the bus stop. We got a little stuck in the rain but once we got there it was such a welcome relief, a beautiful traditional Japanese house with tatami mats and shoji. The sounds of the nearby river flowing behind the property was extremely relaxing and really added to the serenity of the property. The host is such a nice guy, we chatted fishing and he even sent me my headphones to our next accomodation after I left them behind. Wish we could have stayed longer but with our limited time we were go go go! Thanks Midorian.

Lovely, very traditional and comfortable place to stay in Nikko. Near to many of the main temples and a lot of space for a very reasonable price. The owner was also very kind, allowing us to check in a little early and booking our taxi back to the train station upon leaving.

The room was impeccable and fully equipped with appliances and kitchen equipment, We were able to buy some premade mean from the nearby supermarket and use the microwave there to heat up our food.

What a beautiful, traditional Japanese home with the most wonderful host, Hiro-san. He was so communicative before and during our stay, so accommodating with a great sense of humour. He went out of his way to take us to and from the stations, to dinner, etc. Special shoutout to Hiro-san’s gorgeous and gentle doggy companion, Marie-chan. And oh my gosh, the lovely bath prepared for us every evening!! If we are ever in the area, we will go out our way to stay here again. Thank you Hiro-san.
