Incredibly kind, friendly and helpful staff. Our stay coincided with their 4th anniversary and there was a fun sake party. The common areas were clean, quiet and comfortable to lounge in, and the kitchen had all the amenities. Indoor and outdoor onsens were very relaxing and nicely designed. The dormitory bunkbed cubes were surprisingly cozy and comfortable. Overall, a great place to stay, highly recommended!

everything. the staff, service, rooms, food, cleanliness and onsen were as advertised or even better. we were even dropped off to Gora station after our stay which was very nice of them. would recommend to anyone who is planning on a stay at Hakone.

What am amazing place! Plan in some time to just spend in the garden, the onsen and the playfully equipped building that was once a church. Recommended for children!

Really clean and well-maintained. Very friendly staff. Japanese style rooms with tatami mats. Lobby-cum-living room was spacious with a nice design and a warm and inviting vibe. The evening dinner around a fire-pit was a nice experience.

This was my second stay at Hakone Tent and it's still amazing as it was 10 years ago! The atmosphere, the onsen, the bar & lounge area, the staff, everything is just perfect and I can highly recommend everyone to stay here!

The hostel clerk working during my stay has an amazing English. Arranging staff, spacious and clean dorm with lot of space compared to regular capsule. Perfect for me as a solo-traveller. The bathroom is the onsen, which is totally ok.

Went in September to spend 3 days in the area. The staff is sooooo welcoming and have an electronic translator, they are very friendly and helpful and very open to discussion. The place is not so quiet because of the train station, but it makes it very easy to travel across the Hakone region since you have all commodities and transportations down the street in front of the hotel. The room is pure classic 20th century japan and very clean, I just love the atmosphere in it. I was almost the only client so I had the footbath and onsen for me alone which was so cool ! I really recommand this place, and I'll definitely come back. 😊
